Meet Parker Jennings

 Active Theater Student

Home base: Atlanta, GA

Personal life: Student at Boston Conservatory at Berklee

Work life: Student, Actor, Performer

Age: 19

As a student at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Parker is on the go, all day long. Dance classes. Gym time. Moving around campus from one class to another.

“These days, walking is my main form of transportation,” says Parker, who generally logs 20,000 steps a day on her Apple Watch. “Getting steps is a natural part of my life.”

What’s your favorite way to keep fit?

“I love cycling classes at the gym. I have a favorite gym in Boston when I’m at school and one in Atlanta when I am home. I also have developed a love of running because of my Mom. We have always been Disney fans, and now we’re training now for the next Disney Princess Half Marathon. My Mom is a great role model. It’s been a goal of mine to be physically healthy enough to complete this race since recovering from my eating disorder.”

How do you describe yourself as an active person?

“I’ve really learned to incorporate being active into my everyday life, and I’ve been doing that for years. One of my favorite memories is dancing in jazz class as a child. It’s so much fun, and I still love it. I forget it is work, honestly. I did a jazz class this year at school with my teacher and we did a combination of ‘Be Italian’ from ‘Nine the Musical.’ It’s set in a club and we all just sunk into it because it was so much fun.”
